About The Position
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - Day Services Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is seeking Caregivers, Health Aides, CNAs, or Direct Support Professionals who are responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities during daytime hours, typically outside of a residential setting. The focus is often on community integration, skill development, and promoting independence. Direct Support Professionals foster positive self-esteem in individuals, whether in a habilitation setting or in the community, by consistently providing positive interactions, support, encouragement, and unwavering respect for individuals' rights. Direct Support Professionals are the heart of our mission, dedicated to empowering individuals to live safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives within our community. With unwavering compassion and commitment, they provide essential daily support, assisting with transportation, appointments, and personal care while ensuring that care plans, medications, and guidelines are followed with precision and attention to detail. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimally one-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities or an associate degree in human services or related field is required.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
