About The Position

Creed Medical is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. You will assist with daily living activities, promote social inclusion, and advocate for the needs and preferences of the individuals you support. As a DSP at Creed Medical, you will play a critical role in enhancing the dignity, choice, and personal growth of those in your care.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in healthcare or social services preferred.
Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is an advantage.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation necessary for community-based activities.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred or required within the initial period of employment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance with daily activities including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
Support clients in achieving their individual goals and maintain their health and safety.
Encourage participation in community and recreational activities to promote social engagement.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and any changes in condition.
Collaborate with family members, healthcare professionals, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care.
Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
