About The Position

Arise/EFR is seeking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the Syracuse area to work on goals in the community with a friendly and kind man in his mid-20s. The hours may be flexible but would prefer Wednesday through Saturday from approximately 9-2. The pay rate is $22 per hour with a maximum of 20 hours per week. He has many interests including History, games such as Dungeons and Dragons, going to the library and window shopping. He would like to find someone who can participate alongside him in chosen activities working on social skills, exercise, and money management. We are looking for individuals who are friendly, reliable, and patient. Prior experience a plus, but willing to train. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Additional opportunities may be available within the agency to build on these hours. Requirements

Must have a valid drivers license
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
