About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team, offering an opportunity to advance careers while working with an extraordinary team. The role is ideal for caregivers, direct care workers, or home health aides, with immediate hiring and paid training provided. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on individuals' lives, encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. This involves fostering a sense of pride by teaching daily living activities like housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed under the supervision of a House Manager, who reviews results through observation, resident responsiveness, living area inspection, reports, and meetings. The position focuses on enhancing the independence of individuals by assisting with daily and personal activities.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age
Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
A valid driver's license is required
1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities

Nice To Haves

Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred
NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment
