About The Position

The Direct Support Professional provides high-quality support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by fostering strong relationships in the residential group home and community settings.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • At least 6 months of previous experience in direct care or related field preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license & clean driving record.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) including but not limited to, feeding, toileting, assistance with hygiene, monitoring and/or administering medications and all areas of adult daily living skills.
  • Implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) for daily living, transportation, medication and more.
  • Transports consumers within the community using the company van.
  • Deliver high-quality services in community, residential, and facility settings.
  • Build strong relationships with consumers and external stakeholders.
