About The Position
DSP-Direct Support Professionals have the compassion to work with Senior Adults in the community. Here at The Salvation Army you could have a rewarding career in Geriatrics Adult Day Programs by working in our Senior Center, Adult Day Program. The position is a Direct Support Professional and the main responsibility is to work with our seniors in the center during the day when they attend our On-Site program. You will assist them with maintaining their independence, increasing socialization by participating in fun activities and assistance with some personal care. We are seeking direct support professionals who have a genuine interest in working with older adults in our community. We are considering Full and Part applications for this day shift position Monday-Friday.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- CPR, 1st Aid certified or willing to complete.
- Valid Driver’s License, and Good driving record.
- Comfortable assistance with meal service, personal care as needed.
- Experience working with older adults or similar population desired but not required.
