About The Position

We are seeking a Full-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in providing high-quality support to four gentlemen with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The gentlemen are active, social, and highly engaged in their communities and with their families. We’re looking for someone who can encourage independence, promote meaningful community participation, and help support a full and enriching daily life. Position Summary The Full-Time Weekday DSP will provide person-centered support across daily living, community engagement, and household routines. This role focuses on helping each individual maintain independence while ensuring safety, professionalism, respect, and compassion. This position is: Monday- Friday 4pm - 10pm

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D Preferred
  • Current driver’s license (not provisional) with less than 3 points on driving record
  • Must be able to transport people supported as needed
  • Some lifting and transferring may be required
  • Must be at least 20 years of age
  • Must have at least 2 years of driving experience

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with community integration, including participating in outings, recreational activities, community events, and volunteer or social opportunities.
  • Cultivating and expanding independent living skills
  • Promote self-advocacy, personal choice, and autonomy in day-to-day decision-making.
  • Provide support with daily skills such as shopping, meal planning, cooking, and household cleaning to promote independence and healthy routines.
  • Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships
  • Complete required documentation (e.g., incident reports, progress notes, behavior data, fire drills etc.
  • Administer and record medications pursuant to State and Agency requirements, when applicable
  • Other duties as assigned
