About The Position
Creed Medical is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSP). In this role, you will provide vital assistance and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your work will focus on promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and facilitating community engagement for the individuals we serve. As a Direct Support Professional, you will help clients with daily living activities, encourage social participation, and ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in direct care preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, meal preparation, and daily living skills.
- Support clients in achieving goals outlined in individualized support plans.
- Facilitate community outings and engagement activities.
- Monitor and document client progress and behavior.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and team members to coordinate care.
