Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Bost is seeking full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work directly with individuals and their families. The primary goal is to support and maximize the individual’s quality of life by providing in-home assistance with activities of daily living, including meal preparation and planning, medication administration, and personal care. DSPs are also responsible for facilitating community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings or providing transportation to work or other activities. Additionally, DSPs collaborate with clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans, further enhancing the quality of life for the individuals they serve.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Pass a background check, reference check and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home assistance with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation and planning, medication administration, and personal care
- Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community
- Provide transportation to work or other activities
- Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life
