About The Position
A 31-year-old individual in the Syracuse area and is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist them with going out in the community to run errands and participate in their hobbies. They also need assistance in helping to clean at their apartment. They like to participate in theatre productions, go to hobby stores and spend time with their friends. They like to attend community activities and find new interests. They like to go to discount stores when buying items for their home. They like to spend time with their cat, watch tv shows and movies and writing poetry. The ideal candidate will help them work on the apartment and will be patient when they get discouraged at the mess. The ideal candidate will be willing to go to new places when they want to try new hobbies and activities. The ideal candidate will be consistent and reliable. The ideal candidate will encourage and suggest different exercise opportunities. Tuesdays and Fridays 11am -5pm: Times are flexible. Starting pay: $18.50/hour and increases with years of relevant experience. Location: Syracuse, NY
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.

- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
