About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at a program in Newark, DE. This opportunity is for individuals who are caregivers, direct care workers, or home health aides, and no prior experience is required as paid training is provided. The ideal DSP candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on individuals' lives, encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. Responsibilities include fostering independence by teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry, and assisting with daily and personal activities. The work is performed under the supervision of a House Manager. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential

Nice To Haves

Verifiable High School diploma/G.E. D preferred
Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred

Responsibilities
