About The Position

Community Access Services is currently hiring Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Salem, OR to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We have multiple part-time openings available. No experience required — paid training provided. Part-time positions in Salem are eligible for a $500 hiring bonus. What You’ll Do as a Direct Support Professional Build meaningful, person-centered relationships that support independence, dignity, and personal choice Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal care, and household routines Support individuals with community participation, recreation, appointments, and personal goals Encourage skill development, confidence, and social connections Follow individualized support plans (training provided) Administer medications safely and maintain accurate documentation Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment Advocate for the needs and preferences of the individuals you support

Requirements

  • Experience as a DSP, caregiver, or in human services is helpful but not required
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to become an approved company driver
  • Ability to pass a national background check
  • Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility support
  • Dependable and committed to providing person-centered support
