About The Position
Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #EH-KO) ARISE / Exceptional Family Resources (EFR) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support to a young teenage girl in the Syracuse area. The ideal candidate will assist her in maintaining and developing independence both at home and within the community. About the Individual: This individual is active, enjoys going to the gym, and loves animals. The right candidate will share these interests and bring energy, patience, and enthusiasm to the role. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- Must successfully complete background checks, fingerprinting, and a DMV record check (conducted by the agency).
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a DSP is preferred but not required—training will be provided.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
