About The Position

Every Other Weekend 12 Hour Shift Are you a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), or Direct Support Professional (DSP) looking to make a profound difference? Abound Health is seeking a dedicated caregiver for an immediate opening to provide one-on-one support for an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) who requires a high level of personal care. This is a hands-on role where your skills in providing total personal care are essential. You will be joining a team committed to a culture of balance, fulfillment, and creativity, helping our clients reach their fullest potential. Both part-time and full-time hours are available. Experience with client-specific medical procedures is a plus; however, all required specialized training for this case will be provided by the company. Compensation: $18 per hour, non-negotiable

Requirements

  • Passion for and experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) is highly preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid drivers license, reliable personal transportation, and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally in a client's home and in the community.
  • Must be able to pass all required background checks, including criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with client-specific medical procedures is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, respectful personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, based on the client's specific needs.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper techniques and any required equipment.
  • Promote client goals in behavioral and social areas.
  • Support client participation in leisure activities.
  • Provide companionship and respite to relieve the primary caregiver.
  • Must be physically capable of safely lifting and transferring an adult client to and from a wheelchair, as this may be required by individual client needs.
