Dungarvin is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join their Day Program. As a DSP, you will coach and foster engagement by leading workshops designed to support individuals with developmental disabilities. DSPs act as a life coach, mentoring and continuously engaging individuals and leading groups through art, music, games, audio/visual, cooking, reading, and other life enrichment activities. They also provide direct care support and behavioral interventions as needed and ensure timely and accurate documentation outlining daily progress. This role involves coaching and mentoring individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), engaging them through workshop activities to enhance skills, and teaching daily life skills such as cooking, money management, and community volunteering. DSPs lead fun outings, assist with personal care, perform housekeeping and laundry duties, and provide compassionate, person-centered care. Collaboration with a team to create a safe, supportive, and fun environment is essential, along with reporting daily outcomes within an electronic documentation system.
