About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at a program in Philadelphia, PA. This opportunity is for individuals who are caregivers, direct care workers, home health aides, or aspire to be one, with immediate hiring available. No experience is required as paid training is provided. The ideal DSP candidate will be passionate about making long-term impacts on individuals' lives, encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. The role involves fostering independence by teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry, and assisting with personal activities. Work is supervised by a House Manager who reviews activities, resident responsiveness, and living area conditions. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential

Nice To Haves

High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred
Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities preferred
Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Encourage, mentor, and coach individuals to achieve their goals
Teach individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry
Assist with daily and personal activities to enhance individuals' independence
