About The Position
ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a friendly, energetic teenage boy who enjoys playing video games, sports, and routine. In this role you will help him work on his independent living skills and social skills both in the community and at home. He is interested in learning how to be more independent with cooking and cleaning, as well as expanding his connections in the community. He enjoys working out at the YMCA, going to Skyzone, and going out to eat. He is looking for someone with similar interests that will help motivate him to work on his goals. Please respond with a resume or summary of experience. Hours and Days of work: Preferred days and times are Tuesday and Thursday after school.
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
