About The Position

Overview: Vanguard Landing is looking for caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide day-to-day support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where your presence makes a meaningful difference every day. The starting pay range for this role is $15-20 per hour. Also, we are currently hiring for start dates of February 2026 and August 2026. This shift would be from 3pm-11:15pm. Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to supporting individuals with dignity.
  • Must be organized, able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 6 months of experience in caregiving or completion of relevant certification
  • Ability to lift and assist individuals using proper body mechanics, if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Individualized Service Plan Documentation.
  • Already CPA/First Aid certified
  • Already have Medication Management Training

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents and day participants with daily routines, personal care and hygiene.
  • Redirect residents if not properly cleaned and dressed daily.
  • Support residents with their individualized Service Plans (ISP's) and document progress.
  • Help with following the citizens' schedules regarding transportation, recreational activities, appointments, and errands.
  • Participate in training and maintain required certifications.
  • Ensure clean, safe, and welcoming living environments.
  • Respond to crisis situations and follow emergency protocols when needed.
  • Above all else, participate in EXCELLENT, EMPOWERING and RESPECTFUL interactions for all residents and fellow employees.
