About The Position

ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is looking for a Respite Direct Support Professional that is reliable, patient, and enthusiastic to become weekend staff for a young boy with Autism in the Lakeland and Syracuse surrounding areas. Services will be provided mostly outside of the home. Family is asking for staff supports to meet and accompany him at Sunday School at Church (Vineyard Church), and meeting with the family in the community at different parks, Trampoline parks, etc... Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, support with personal care (Pull Ups), providing supervision and maintaining his safety. Prior experience working with individuals with Autism is a plus. Reliable vehicle and driver's license are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire. Hours are somewhat flexible on Saturdays and Sundays would be meeting at the Church around 1045am for 1-2 hours. Additional hours may be available, as agreed upon with the family. Pay rate is $22 per hour

Requirements

Must have a valid drivers license
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
