About The Position
Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Respite in the Liverpool area to a 9yr old boy with autism. His family is looking for a dedicated, active individual to provide him with support and supervision with doing activities in the community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to accompanying and supporting him during community outings, providing personal care as needed, supporting him with health and safety needs and providing transportation as needed. We are looking for an individual who is dependable, patient, enthusiastic and able to work independently. Reliable vehicle and a driver's license are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Hours: Weekend hours, flexible up to 10 hours per week Pay rate: $22.00 per hour EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
