About The Position
Direct Support Professional: Residential - Cohoes- Awake Overnight Please submit an updated resume so that we can pay you for your experience! Pay Range: $18.75-$24.30/hr based on verifiable direct care experience (This range reflects 20 years of experience) Available Shift Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 9pm-9am; 36 hours/week; this position is Benefit eligible, but not full time. Who we are looking for: We are looking for caring, compassionate Direct Support Professionals to work full time in a Residential setting.
Requirements
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Successful candidates will: be positive and encouraging with those they support.
- be professional
- have patience and a positive attitude
- have a strong desire to help others
- enjoy teamwork
- A valid NYS license and clean driving record required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Responsibilities
- Help the people who live there by assisting them in activities, like:
- Cooking
- Doing laundry
- Running errands
- Teach people with disabilities how to do things on their own
- Taking individuals to appointments and activities
- Writing notes as needed.
- Helping individuals with tasks like cooking, cleaning, showering, toileting, shopping, and managing money
- Other duties as need
