About The Position

Creed Medical is actively seeking caring and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSP). In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them enhance their quality of life and achieve their personal goals. As a Direct Support Professional, your primary responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and fostering meaningful community engagement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in direct support or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals and their families.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation needed for community activities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or the willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Encourage participation in community and social activities to foster social skills and independence.
• Monitor and document individual progress in relation to their care plans.
• Provide emotional and social support, serving as a friend and advocate.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for individuals in your care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement care strategies and individual goals.
