Damar is looking for passionate Direct Support Professionals to perform a variety of tasks related to the care of Adult clients living in the newly built Damar Villages. Some duties include client supervision and care, crisis management, promoting appropriate social behaviors, and supporting clients in achieving their maximum potential. We are hiring for the following shifts... Weekend Shift (Saturday and Sunday 7am-11pm) Weekend 3rd Shift (Saturday and Sunday 11pm-7-30am) 2nd Shift (Monday through Friday 3pm-11:30pm) ( Preferred shift may not be available at time of application.) Requirements

  • Be at least 18 to work in our Community Living and Support Services program
  • Be able to provide formal proof of a high school diploma or GED
  • Possess a valid Indiana driver’s license and good driving record
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal offenses
  • Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

  • Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
