Qualifications What you’ll be doing As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Options For All, you’ll play a vital role in helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) achieve independence and thrive in their communities.

Requirements

  • Passion : A desire to empower individuals with I/DD and make a real impact.
  • Team Player : Someone who works well with others, takes initiative, and adapts to new situations.
  • Qualifications : High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Skills: Empathy, patience, and the ability to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Adaptability to address individual’s needs with care and flexibility.
  • Basic tech skills (mobile phone use, email, Microsoft, electronic database systems)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience : Previous experience in caregiving, social work, life skills coaching, as a teaching assistant or volunteering is a plus but not required.
