About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join their team at a program in Aston, PA. This role is ideal for individuals who want to create long-term impacts on consumers' lives, encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. Direct Support Professionals will spend their days in various settings, making memories with individuals, and following Individual Support Plans. This includes working on social and communication skills in places like parks and sensory gardens, enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care, and fostering pride by teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. No experience is required as paid training is provided. Merakey is a non-profit provider of developmental, behavioral health, and education services, supporting nearly 40,000 individuals and families across 12 states with over 8,000 employees.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred
• Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred
