Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Creed Medical is seeking motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join their team. The DSP role involves providing support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them with daily living activities and promoting their independence. As a member of the team, the DSP will work closely with clients to enhance their quality of life by assisting with personal care needs, facilitating community involvement, and fostering skill development. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in caregiving or direct support is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support the implementation of individualized care plans designed to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Encourage and facilitate community integration and social participation.
- Monitor and document client progress and communicate any concerns to the care team.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients at all times.
- Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
