About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at a program in Richmond, VA. The role is suitable for caregivers, direct care workers, or home health aides, with immediate hiring and paid training provided, requiring no prior experience. The ideal candidate will aim to create long-term impacts on individuals' lives, encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve goals. This involves fostering pride by teaching daily living activities like housekeeping and laundry, and assisting with daily and personal activities to enhance independence. Work is supervised by a House Manager, who reviews progress through observation, resident responsiveness, living area inspection, reports, and meetings. Requirements

HS Diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to operate a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

1+ year experience in a home health aide setting or school setting working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities
