About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in social services or healthcare preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience in various circumstances.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community activities.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or required to obtain upon hiring.

• Experience in direct care or similar roles is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, meal planning, and attending appointments.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive relationships.
• Engage individuals in community activities, promoting social skills and inclusion.
• Implement and monitor individual care plans, documenting progress and needs accurately.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards, and addressing any immediate concerns.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members and families to advocate for the needs of individuals.
