About The Position
ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide Respite services in the Sedgwick area. The family is looking to add multiple Respite DSP’s to provide respite for their 2 daughters. Service hours completed will be working with one daughter at a time. Applicants that are flexible for days, evenings and weekend shifts is a huge plus, but not required. The family isn’t looking for a firm schedule but rather be added to their list of staff. During interviews it will be determined which daughter would be a better match for staff or maybe be matched by both girls. The girls both enjoy going into the community and love music. Each daughter has their own interests and hobbies… like going to events, the zoo, shopping, eating at restaurants, hanging out, going for walks and having a buddy. Each girl also has different needs and support in place. These will be reviewed with you during phone and in-person interviews. Some personal care maybe be needed at times. New hires must have a driver's license and some experience is preferred. The current pay rate is $22.50 plus reimbursements for mileage and Staff Activity fees
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
- some experience is preferred.
