About The Position
Direct Support Professional FT & PT POSITIONS AVAILABLE Must be able to attend mandatory week-long New Employee Orientation training from Monday to Friday between 9AM-4PM Pay Scale: $18.50 starting rate, $19.25 with CT Medical Certification. KenCrest Services is seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals to join our team in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group home settings. We have full-time and part-time positions available across all shifts, offering flexibility and meaningful work. In this role, you’ll assist with daily living tasks like personal care, meals, and medication, while also encouraging community involvement and fostering independence. Whether you're helping with household routines or cheering someone on as they achieve a personal goal, you'll play a vital role in empowering the people we serve to live fuller, more independent lives. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required
- Advanced ability to convey, understand, and follow spoken and written instructions in English required
- Must clear criminal record and other background checks in accordance with state requirements
Nice To Haves
- Experience with individuals with IDD preferred, but willing to train otherwise qualified candidates
- Certification in medication administration, first aid, and CPR preferred (KenCrest does provide PAID training to all new hires)
