Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to implement individualized plans
  • Commitment to positive behavioral supports
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (for driving positions)
  • Successful completion of a SOAR365 driving test (if applicable)
  • Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification
  • Obtain and maintain Therapeutic Options certifications
  • Demonstrate reliability
  • Demonstrate teamwork
  • Alignment with SOAR365's core values

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Related college coursework
  • Disability-specific training
  • Medical training (such as a CNA license)

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct care, supervision, and support to participants during daily program activities, ensuring engagement, choice, and dignity at all times.
  • Delivering age-appropriate, purposeful activities.
  • Supporting skill development in areas such as social interaction, personal hygiene, and motor coordination.
  • Implementing individualized training plans using approved techniques and interventions.
  • Collaborating closely with team members.
  • Encouraging positive behavioral supports.
  • Accompanying participants on community outings.
  • Providing transportation when assigned.
  • Personal care support.
  • Maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Completing accurate and timely documentation.
  • Identifying program needs and solutions.
  • Participating in trainings and meetings.
  • Supporting volunteers and interns.
  • Ensuring full compliance with all safety, HIPAA, and agency policies.
