Requirements

• Someone who is compassionate with a person-centered mindset
• Someone who is capable of communication with dignity and respect, especially during challenging moments
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Responsible, and can assist in goal progress tracking
• DSP 1 & 2 certification (preferred, applicants who are not yet certified can take advantage of our internal certification programs)
• CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if you’re not certified or need to be recertified)

Nice To Haves

• Weekend Availability (Is a plus but not required)

Responsibilities

• Support participants with daily living skills such as cleaning, cooking, and budgeting
• Encourage and model independence, hobbies, and social activities
• Assist participants access and participate in community activities
• Assist with personal care such as medication support, hygiene and bathing (lifting / transferring may be required)
• Collaborate Person-Centered Care planning with participant
• Record keep progress of care plan
