About The Position
Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a friendly and respectful young man who enjoys art, music, swimming and bike riding. In this role, you will help him become more involved in community events and recreational opportunities and will help him learn skills to become more independent. He would like to improve his money management skills, learn how to better advocate for himself, and find volunteer opportunities. He is seeking a reliable and upbeat individual to accompany him to recreational activities and assist him with working towards his goals. Please respond with a resume or summary of experience. Hours and Days of work: The schedule would be 1-2 evenings per week. Opportunities for additional hours and/or daytime hours during the summer. Specific days and times are flexible and can be worked out with the family upon hire. Payrate: $21.00 per hour. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Location: Baldwinsville, NY
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.

- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
