About The Position

As a Direct Support Professional, you will support and assist individuals with disabilities with their daily activities, teach them life skills, and help them achieve their goals. Our Staff provide opportunities for self discovery and life enrichment by assisting our members with grocery shopping, meal planning, attending events such as movies, ball game, a play or even going to the zoo!

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid drivers license
• Communication Proficiency
• Patience
• Writing skills
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Have working knowledge of privacy laws and regulations.
• Ability to respond well under pressure.
• Must possess strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist individuals with disabilities with their daily activities
• Teach life skills
• Help individuals achieve their goals
• Assist members with grocery shopping
• Assist members with meal planning
• Assist members attending events such as movies, ball game, a play or even going to the zoo!
