About The Position
ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work in the Mattydale area with a 17-year-old. He is looking for energetic, open minded, respectful and dedicated staff to engage in activities with him in the community. Other responsibilities include providing him with transportation in the community and being a good role model. His currents interests include music, the arts, and Chinese food. Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is a plus but not a requirement. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license is required for this position. Work hours: After school - Flexible days 3pm to 5pm and weekends Looking for roughly 10 to 15 hours per week. The pay rate is $23 per hour with mileage reimbursement and staff activity fees. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
