DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - Middletown (M2) - First Shift
About The Position
The Direct Support Professional will follow agency policies and participate in related goals and plans, which promote inclusion as well as social and emotional growth for the individuals we support in their homes and inthe community. The DSP is responsible for the health, well-being, and development of individuals we serve and works in conjunction with other staff members to provide the best possible care for all individuals. Supports the IMPACT mission, vision, and guiding principles. This is a position working 1:1 with an individual providing individualized community supports (IDNV).
Requirements
- Must have a valid CT Driver's License and reliable vehicle with current CT registration and insurance
- Must use own vehicle w/mileage reimbursement @ state rate and be able provide certificate of insurance demonstrating statutory state minimums.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- CPR, First Aid, PMT and Med Certification are preferred.
- 5 years’ experience with adults with developmental disabilities preferred but will train right candidates.
