About The Position
š Direct Support Professional (DSP) ā North San Diego County Ready to do work that actually matters? At Stepping Stone Resources, we help adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities build independence, confidence, and real-life skills - right in their own communities. If you're compassionate, dependable, and looking for a meaningful way to make a difference, this is where you start. š” What You'll Do Support adults in community-based activities that foster independence, social skills, and confidence. Provide behavioral support when needed, using Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) techniques (training provided if not certified). Safely transport individuals to and from community outings, appointments, and program activities. Collaborate with a team that values empathy, cooperation, and empowerment.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be comfortable driving throughout North San Diego County.
- Ability to complete (or current certification in) CPI training.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
Nice To Haves
- Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
- Current DSP Certification .
- Current hands-on CPR certification through the Red Cross or American Heart Association .
- Willingness to drive individuals (driving hours are paid at a higher rate).
