About The Position
Self-Direction DSP - Johnson City, NY Area (Job #MA-DS) Seeking a Direct Support Professional for Young Man with Developmental Disability You can make a difference in the life of someone special! We are looking for an engaging and creative staff (1:1 support) to work with a young man with a developmental disability who is located in the city of Johnson City, NY. In this critical role, you will provide support to the person while completing tasks and activities such as assisting with independent living skills, providing advocacy, and attending community activities. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, be compassionate, and must be reliable. Candidates must have their own vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Experience is preferred, but not necessary for the right candidate! Hours: Up to 12 hours/week, Monday through Thursday, 2pm to 6pm Pay rate: $19/hour, additional $.67 per mile for transportation reimbursement Location: Johnson City, NY Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency.
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
