About The Position
Traditional Home Care, a locally owned and operated Home Care Agency, is seeking reliable, experienced direct support professionals to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to individuals diagnosed with intellectual, developmental disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioral diagnoses, etc. This position is in compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act, which mandates Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for home care / home health services.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
- Comfortable using smartphones or tablets if not provided
- Reliable internet access to meet EVV requirements
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing)
- Companionship
- Appropriate communication/social skilled
- Light housekeeping and chores
- Ensuring a safe environment and teaching basic safety skills
- Meeting individual goals and outcomes
- Promoting community involvement (outings, activities, errands, etc.)
