About The Position
Direct Support Professional: Residential - PART TIME - Capital Region Shifts available: Schenectady: 9am-7pm Fridays and Saturdays(20 hours) Please submit an updated resume so that we can pay you for your experience! Successful candidates will: be positive and encouraging with those they support. be professional have patience and a positive attitude have a strong desire to help others enjoy teamwork What does a Direct Support Professional do in a residential setting? Help the people who live there by assisting them in activities, like: Cooking Doing laundry Running errands Teach people with disabilities how to do things on their own
Requirements
- Other Requirements:
- A valid NYS license and clean driving record required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to lift 50lbs
Responsibilities
- Taking individuals to appointments and activities
- Writing notes as needed.
- Helping individuals with tasks like cooking, cleaning, showering, toileting, shopping, and managing money
- Other duties as need
