About The Position

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll play a key role in empowering individuals to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. (with assistance or lifting devices)
  • Physical ability to bend, squat, push/pull, and kneel as needed
  • A compassionate and patient mindset

Responsibilities

  • Follow individual care plans and report any concerns to nursing or management.
  • Administer medications and treatments with proper documentation, per policy.
  • Support daily living needs, including: Personal care, Meal preparation and dietary support, Household tasks and errands, Health appointments and community integration, Building natural supports and social relationships.
  • Promote health, safety, and a clean home environment.
  • Remain calm and effective during challenging situations.
  • Foster a positive, respectful team dynamic with coworkers, individuals, and their families.
  • Accurately document individual progress and changes.
  • Attend all required trainings, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
