The Direct Support Professional works on an interdisciplinary team that delivers superior quality of service and provides appropriate activities in a safe and healthy environment within the home and community setting. This role involves assisting clients with basic living skills and daily personal tasks, providing transportation, maintaining good communication among staff regarding client needs and progress, and accurately completing all required documentation. The position also requires strict adherence to documentation and maintenance records for FTA vehicles, reporting incidents and emergencies, assisting in the formulation and follow-through of client care plans, and following medication management guidelines. Additionally, the DSP organizes recreational activities, serves as a positive role model, treats clients and families with dignity and respect, and assists in the maintenance of FCC facilities, grounds, and vehicles. Confidentiality of all information is paramount, in compliance with Friendship Community Care Non-Disclosure Policy and HIPAA Policies. This is a safety-sensitive position.
