Direct Support Professional (DSP)
About The Position
BAYADA is now hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) throughout Westmoreland County. This role involves working one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for adult individuals (18 years and older) with intellectual or developmental disabilities, helping them reach their full potential. No prior experience is needed as BAYADA provides Direct Support Professional training through its Apprentice Program. Requirements
- One year experience working with I/DD individuals; If you do not have this experience, paid training is available
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments
- Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
- Participate in community integration activities
