About The Position

There are only part-time positions available for the 7am-3pm at this time. This role involves making a positive impact working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities in a fun environment that has a positive impact on the community. Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities, assisting individuals with activities of daily living and promoting growth in the areas of functional skills, personal needs, communication, and personal adjustment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid Drivers License required
  • Ability to complete required new hire orientation class
  • Have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs
  • Possess a valid license

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and appropriate care for all Pocono Center residents
  • Be responsible for supervision of residents and seeing that their physical, emotional and personal needs are met
  • Assist in hygiene tasks such as showering or toileting
  • Support individuals throughout daily routine, including joining them in community outings
  • Attend in-service training programs to develop skills
  • Perform related duties, special assignments and projects as assigned by coordinator
