Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Strong interpersonal skills
The ability to implement individualized plans
A commitment to positive behavioral supports
A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required for driving positions, along with successful completion of a SOAR365 driving test if applicable.
All DSPs must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid and Therapeutic Options certifications
Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and alignment with SOAR365's core values.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Relevant college coursework, disability-specific training, or medical training (such as a CNA license) may substitute for the preferred experience.

Responsibilities

Providing daily support, supervision, and skill-building assistance to participants during Adult Day Support activities and routines.
Delivering purposeful, age-appropriate activities
Implementing individualized training plans
Supporting skill development in areas such as social interaction, personal hygiene, and motor coordination
Encouraging participant choice and engagement
Collaborating closely with team members
Providing personal care as needed
Accompanying participants on community outings
Providing transportation when assigned
Maintaining supplies and equipment
Completing accurate and timely documentation
Identifying program needs and solutions
Attending required trainings and meetings
Supporting volunteers and interns
Ensuring compliance with all agency policies, safety standards, HIPAA requirements, and SOAR365's Human Rights plan.
