Requirements

18 years old
HS Diploma or GED preferred and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education/and or experience preferred
If driving is required, reliable means of transportation, NYS driver's license and safe driving record for 1 full year prior to hire date
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form

Responsibilities

Provides hands-on assistance, instruction, and training to individuals which will enable them to develop and/or acquire skills in various aspects of daily living which may include communication, social, recreational, and leisure activities, self or personal care, household management, travel, work-related or vocational opportunities, money management, etc. in accordance with an individualized plan of service, and following all safety considerations.
Provides training opportunities designed to enhance each person's self-sufficiency in the areas of independent living
