About The Position
You can make a difference in the life of someone special! We are looking for an engaging and creative DSP (1:1 support) to work with a young man who is located in the city of Pulaski, NY. In this critical role, you will provide support to the person while completing tasks and activities such accessing the community, providing advocacy, and working on independent living skills. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, be compassionate, and must be reliable. Candidates must have their own vehicle and a valid driver's license. Experience is preferred, but not necessary for the right candidate! Hours: Up to 22 hours/week Pay rate: $20/hour, additional $.67 per mile for transportation reimbursement Location: Pulaski, NY Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency.
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
