About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at a program in Warminster, PA. This opportunity is open to caregivers, direct care workers, home health aides, or those aspiring to be one, with immediate hiring and paid training provided. The role offers competitive pay, up to $18.00/hour with an Enhanced Pay Option. Ideal candidates are passionate about making long-term impacts on individuals' lives, enjoying encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. DSPs will spend their days in various settings, including parks, museums, and local events, working on social and communication skills. The position involves fostering independence by teaching daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry, and assisting with daily and personal activities to enhance individuals' independence.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential

Nice To Haves

High School diploma/G.E.D.
Experience in a home health aide setting or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

Encourage, mentor, and coach individuals to achieve their goals
Spend time with individuals in a variety of settings, including parks, museums, and local events, making memories
Work on social and communication skills with individuals by following their Individual Support Plan
Foster independence by teaching daily living activities, such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry
Assist with daily and personal activities to enhance individuals' independence
