About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proof of vehicle insurance and registration.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on feet for most of the shift.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred, but not required.
• CPR Certification.
• First Aid Certification.
• AED Certification.
• DDS Medication Administration Certification (for administering medications).
• Experience with caregiving.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, family members, or medical professionals.
• Therap experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with grooming, hygiene, toileting, and bathing.
• Prepare meals and assist with cooking.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks in the home.
• Accompany residents to medical appointments as needed.
• Document daily shift notes and health/behavioral data electronically.
• Utilize adaptive equipment such as hoyer lifts as required.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation as assigned.
• Report any changes in the individual's condition or behavior to the supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in accordance with regulations.
• Ensure confidentiality of client's personal information and HIPAA compliance.
