About The Position

Overview Oversee Paraeducator I, and Paraeducator II and under the direction of the Education Director oversees the operation of the campus during the education hours

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least two years of childcare experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in health and human services or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Paraeducator I and II staff during school hours
• Ensure student safety, dignity, and engagement in a therapeutic learning environment
• Oversee implementation of behavior support plans and Safety Care practices
• Manage daily staff schedules and ensure required staffing ratios
• Support staff training, performance evaluations, and coaching
• Act as campus “in-charge” during assigned shifts, including school closures or holidays
• Communicate student needs to appropriate staff and advocate for individualized supports
• Distribute prescribed medications as trained and authorized as needed
• Respond appropriately to crises and maintain a calm, structured atmosphere
• Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
